In February 2010, AE Photonics realized, in co-operation with AE Photonics Italia, Sunstar Corporation and Trina Solar Limited, the construction of an 881 kW ground-mounted photovoltaic power plant in Castronovo and connected it to the grid.

The construction of the power plant started with the pile-driving for the sub-construction in autumn 2009.

In November 2009, AE Photonics GmbH & Co. KG acquired the rights for the project “Castellaneta” in Italy. The construction of the 5 MW power plant started in late March 2010 under the auspices of AE Photonics in co-operation with Sunstar Corporation and Trina Solar Limited. The project is composed of 5 sub-projects of 1 MW.

The construction of the power plant is scheduled to be completed in late February 2011

In March 2010, AE Photonics commenced the construction of the ground-mounted PV project in Kirchenpingarten. The Sunstar Corporation was commissioned for the 1356 kW turnkey project. Despite heavy snowfalls the completion date could be abided. The facility was connected to the public grid on the 29.12.2010.
